Our Club
The club began in 2013 with the introduction of the NetSetGo program to an enthusiastic group of Year 2’s.
The NetSetGo program has continued each year since then and today has resulted in every year level from Year 2 onward’s producing netball teams that compete in the Stonnington City Netball Association Junior competition.
Our Committee
All clubs depend on the time and efforts of volunteers. Malvern Central Netball Club (MCNC) is no different. The MCNC Committee is responsible for oversight and governance of the club and for ensuring it remains financially secure.
All committee members are elected each year and all parents of players are encouraged to join to support the club in any way they can.
Current MCNC Committee members are:
Treasurer: John Sedy
Secretary: Jo Wenzel
Registration, Facilities & Team Manager Lead: Mardi McQueen
Coaching & Equipment Lead: Emma Ristow
Communications Lead: Anna Karanikas
General Committee Member: Jess Retallack, Alana Wright
Our Numbers
163 Club Players
and counting…
From humble beginnings, MCNC continues to grow and develop into the strong club it is today.
19 Coaches
trained and mentored for success
Our coaches undergo training and mentoring to help them develop into great coaches. Some of them come from our pool of ex-students and players.
19 Teams
across all age groups
What started as a small group of NetSetGo players has expanded to now cover every junior competition level offered by the Stonnington City Netball Association.
6 Flags
its early days…
Our success is best measured by the number of active players and community involvement. We don’t judge our success in flags won, but it doesn’t hurt to mention it.
